Join us on June 7th for a special garden event with award-winning children’s book author Brittany Petish, featuring storytimes, book signings, and a chance to hear the inspiration behind the True Heart Tails series and take home a signed copy.
Brittany is the creator of the award-winning True Heart Tails series, which draws on real animal stories to help children explore courage, kindness, resilience, and belonging.
The Ball Ground Garden Club will also offer children’s crafts and light snacks.
Please bring a chair or blanket for seating.
About
Who We Are
Established in May 1951 in Ball Ground, GA, the Ball Ground Garden Club has played an active role within the community. The Club oversees the maintenance of the award-winning Ball Ground Botanical Garden, organizes the Annual Plant Festival and Sale, and has recently dedicated Gold and Blue Star Memorial Markers in the Garden. Additionally, the Club hosts Christmas in the Garden, prepares a float for the annual Christmas Parade, and participates in the Annual Pollinator Count. Members have supported local initiatives by awarding 4H Scholarships, holding Fall celebrations such as Trunk and Treat, and collaborating with the STEM Academy, Senior Center, and Dominic's Food Mission.

Join us in the garden on June 7th for a unique garden event, children’s book author Brittany Petish will host a special storytime featuring her latest book Bob and the Season of Waiting followed by book signings, snakes and children’s crafts. Please bring your own chairs or a blanket.

Find the plants you have been looking for including Native and Heirloom, enjoy a day full of gardening tips, garden tours, raffle, children's activities and 40 plus vendors (food, beverages and shopping.)
